Cómo se Dice (Spanish for, “How do you say?”) has unveiled its fun and fresh concept with an upscale, yet casual and family-friendly atmosphere. Cómo se Dice is a new dining experience for urban suburbanites presenting a modern twist on Mexican cuisine by offering traditional favorites like fajitas, enchiladas and tamales as well as thrilling new dishes like the shrimp avocado mango tower, the salmon salad with cilantro lime vinaigrette dressing and the Baja fish tacos, all sure to please the most discriminating palates.

Quality food using fresh ingredients is what sets Cómo se Dice apart from the others. And the diversity of entrees made with beef, chicken, fish and shrimp will insure that you’ll have a variety of dishes to choose from every time you visit!

Much thought and planning went into designing every aspect of Cómo se Dice, to present an authentic yet modern twist on Mexican cuisine. 04D Office for Design created the restaurant’s nostalgic marketplace to feel both eclectic and contemporary; incorporating brightly colored tile, beautiful glass and fun custom wall finishes.

The Kings Harbor location takes advantage of the surrounding landscape including the expansive views of Lake Houston. From the exterior, the restaurant’s eclectic feel is reinforced with its market style colorful umbrellas lining the outdoor dining area, a nostalgic mural and a contemporary logo above an over-scaled carved wooden entry door.

Upon arrival, one enters into a lobby lined with a dramatic glass art installation, reminiscent of rugs hanging at a classic open-air market, which acts as a veil to the main dining area.

As the hostess escorts you to your table, you are embraced by the big wow that impacts the entire dining area… the dramatically long and vibrant curved bar. It is lined with mosaic tiles that transition through many bright colors until it finally concludes into darker and richer colors at the bar area. Above the counter top hangs a series of decorative four feet by eight feet metal panels that pay homage to the Mexican flags. Classic Hispanic movie posters and Calaveras garnish the walls in the bar area completing the atmosphere for the adult crowd.

The private dining room is warm and inviting with theatrical velvet drapes accenting the windows, a gigantic mural, and an ornamental framed mirror—creating a perfect place to host your next private event for up to 36 of your closest friends and colleagues.
